Our Story
Same Skin is a collaboration between skin camouflage consultant Vanessa Jane Davies and Colour scientists from the University of Sussex that brings together the wealth of Vanessa’s practical experience with cutting edge digital colour measurement.
Vanessa Jane Davies
Vanessa has over 25 years of experience treating men, women, and children across a wide range of skin conditions, pigmentation/discoloration, scars, and burns. She established Skin Camouflage Services at 10 Harley Street, London in 2007 and holds practicing privileges with Nuffield Health Hospitals and consults from five further UK locations. Furthermore, she provides skin camouflage expertise to the Bristol Scar Team.
Sussex University
Professor Daniel Osorio leads a team at Sussex University that have developed a novel patented algorithm (US-8044969-B2) for measuring colour in digital photographs. This enables mobile phones to make accurate measurements of skin tone that can be used to select matching shades of cover-cream.
